This year is set to be a record year for democracy. More than four billion people around the world will be eligible to vote in elections around the world.
It can be easy to turn away from these processes. With campaigns so bogged down in political jargon and nasty strategies, it’s really no wonder that rates of dissatisfaction with democracy are at an all time high.
But no matter how you might feel about your chosen candidates, or democracy itself, these outcomes affect lives, in ways both good and bad.
